Maduro was transported by ship to Guantanamo, and from there he flew to New York.

According to sources, Nicolás Maduro, the leader of Venezuela, was taken to the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo on the USS Iwo Jima and then boarded a plane bound for New York. CNN and ABC report that Maduro was handed over to the FBI upon arrival at Guantanamo and is expected to arrive in New York later this Saturday. His hearing in federal court is scheduled for sometime on Monday.
