Aristotle is the most important philosopher of all time

Aristotle is part of that golden triad of classical philosophy, completed by Socrates and Plato. He was originally from northern Greece, and at the age of 18, he went to study at Plato's Academy in Athens, where, for two decades, he was a pupil and then a colleague of the great thinker. Over time, although he always recognized how much he owed to his teacher, he distanced himself from his ideas and developed his own opinions.
